Should I order the six- or twelve-piece puzzle?
For someone who still has a fair amount of mobility and independence, the twelve-piece puzzles can provide cognitive stimulation and an activity that is highly satisfying. For people in whom the disease has progressed further, and who have more limited dexterity, the six-piece puzzle will provide a better chance of success. For some, the three-piece train puzzle will be sufficiently challenging.
Would these puzzles be an appropriate gift for someone with Alzheimer's Disease?

We are constantly talking with our customers about the kinds of products they would like to have available for their loved ones with dementia. We have several new products in development today. We also are researching new photos and artwork for puzzles that will appeal to adults, and with themes that might generate conversation. At the same time, we try to be careful not to use images that are overly complex, which would lead to frustration for people in more advanced stages of Alzheimer's Disease. Does PuzzledMinds have any products for children?
We are developing a new line of puzzles made for therapeutic uses with children. They will be high-quality wooden puzzles with images appropriate for children of all ages. They will also be of various levels of difficulty. Check our web site for the introduction of these puzzles soon!
Do people who don't have Alzheimer's Disease buy your puzzles?
We have heard from physical therapists, occupational therapists, and schoolteachers, all of whom have had the opportunities to use PuzzledMinds puzzles for individuals with various disabilities including Parkinson's disease, stroke, hand injury, brain injury, developmental disabilities and other conditions. Our primary goal was to create puzzles that would be appropriate for people with Alzheimer's disease. However, we designed the puzzles to be aesthetically appealing to everyone and to give them all a chance for success.
